Puerto Rican salsa pioneer
Ismael Miranda has recorded more than twenty albums over the
course of his thirty-eight year career. His first hit song,"Rumbón
Melón." was released on his recording debut, "Let's
Ball" in 1967. He later joined the Fania All Stars and
assembled his own orchestra, Orquesta Revelación. He
announced his retirement in the 1990's but went on to record
three more highly popular albums. Miranda has been a "soneando"
(singing salsa lead) for more than 38 years and his wonderful
tenor voice delights audiences around the world.
